No 1 Shop ready-assembled models
No 1 Shop locomotive models are professionally built to the highest standards in our own factory. They feature a DJH/Buhler motor and gearbox, a rigid chassis with Slater’s wheels and plunger pickups, plus features such as working screw couplings, detailed cab interiors, headlamps and fully glazed windows. Diesel locomotives feature twin power bogies and bi-directional functional lights. The minimum radius curves these models will negotiate is 6ft (1800mm).
Your locomotive will be delivered to you beautifully painted, with full lining and lettering as appropriate to the prototype. To ensure you’ll enjoy many years of ultra-reliable operation, all No 1 Shop locomotives are ‘road-tested’ before despatch and only gentle running-in is necessary. They come in a handsome presentation box complete with a twelve-month guarantee and a certificate of authenticity signed by the builder.
