Designed, manufactured and built in-house (in Consett, UK!) by our skilled craftsmen. Each model is constructed from the finest components and features a fully detailed Firebox Backhead, Cab interior and glazed windows, scale screw link couplings and sprung buffers. Each model is authentically painted, numbered and lettered and is Ready to Run!
Batch Built Model details - will cover loco’s during both the LNER and BR period from Oct 1938 through to withdrawal (last one Dec 1958).
Details include; Boiler Type 69A (fitted from Oct 1938, dome mounted 1ft 8in further back & boiler bands moved), alternative types of buffer - Worsdell standard buffers (round flange) or LNER group standard buffers (square flange), alternative types of bunker – Cage type (added from 1917 to most loco’s) or Hopper type (added from Sept 1932 to 31 loco’s), Westinghouse Pump (mounted on the L/H tank front from 1914, removed when push-pull equipment fitted), Push-pull equipment (fitted from Dec 1937 to 21 loco’s) and Ross Pop safety valves (replaced the Ramsbottom type from the mid 1930’s)
