All DJH Model Loco kits are designed with an extreme attention to detail and built to the scale of the original model. Our Research and Development team examine archived drawings to gain access to the most intricate details of the original model and replicate this in the model designs – even down to the number of rivets used!
Handcrafted by our incredibly skilled team of modelers, toolmakers and craftsmen, all products are made at our modern factory based in Consett, County Durham. Using high quality materials such as pewter and brass, DJH Model Loco kits are extremely durable and built to last.
Suitable for competent modelers, our K30 kit is supplied with fitting instructions which details the tools required and step-by-step instructions to guide you through the build.
Designed by Author Peppercorn, the A1 was built to be an express passenger during the post-war period. The 3 cylinder locomotive totaled 49 locomotives. The 50th A1 to be built, named the Tornado, was competed in 2008 with the loco number 60163 as a working locomotive.
This was one of the first composite etched brass/white metal kits ever introduced and it is still a benchmark by which other kits are judged. It features a white metal one-piece boiler/firebox/smokebox, cast footplate and detail fittings, an etched fold up cab and tender, with etched chassis and valve gear.
