All DJH Model Loco kits are designed with an extreme attention to detail and built to the scale of the original model. Our Research and Development team examine archived drawings to gain access to the most intricate details of the original model and replicate this in the model designs – even down to the number of rivets used!
Handcrafted by our incredibly skilled team of modelers, toolmakers and craftsmen, all products are made at our modern factory based in Consett, County Durham. Using high quality materials such as pewter and brass, DJH Model Loco kits are extremely durable and built to last.
Suitable for experienced modelers, our K316 kit is supplied with fitting instructions which details the tools required and step-by-step instructions to guide you through the build.
The legendary 3300hp Deltics were introduced in 1961 and spent their operational lives on express passenger services between Kings Cross, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Leeds and Hull. In the two decades since their final withdrawal from active service they have acquired a huge railfan following.
This kit of Britain’s best-loved diesel class follows the revolutionary class 37 in featuring:
- an alloy body, correctly detailed bogies and other underframe gear
- preformed etched roof panels, fans and engine grille covers
- etched windscreen wipers, sprung buffers, cab interiors and flush glazing
Optional air horns, buffer-beam pipework and other fittings are included to enable the builder to model these locomotives at any stage of their distinguished careers. A working lighting kit is available as a separate item.
