This model is part of our precision range of ready to runs and is produced from our famous O gauge kits which are designed using a combination of white metal castings and brass etchings. These intricate parts require a high level of precision and hours of dedication in order to replicate the finest details.

Following the recent success of the DJH NER ‘D’ and LNER/BR A8 4-6-2t project in 2019/20, the new project is a perfect stablemate and will appeal to our loyal customer base of both kit builders and RTR model collectors.
DJH Model Loco Ready to Run
All DJH Model Loco ready to runs are handbuilt to the customers specification – allowing for personalisation of shed number, name and locomotive number. For each model, we offer a range of liveries to match various periods and classes. As an optional extra, you can also add sound and smoke effects to your ready to run for an additional cost.
All DJH models have been designed with an extremely high attention to detail and as true to the scale of the original as possible. During the design process, our Research and Development team examine archived drawings to replicate the most intricate details of the original model – even down to the number of rivets used!
Handcrafted by our incredibly skilled team of model builders, toolmakers and craftsmen, all ready to runs are handbuilt to order at our modern factory based in Consett, County Durham. Using high quality materials such as pewter and brass, DJH Model Loco models are extremely durable and built to last.
All DJH ready to runs are complete with Slaters motor/gearbox and wheelset. Other features include – fully painted locomotive backhead, real coal used in the tender, working screwlink couplings and fully glazed windows.
The standard minimum radius is 6ft /1800mm. If you require a lower radius, please specify when enquiring about your ready to run.
